While the riverside accommodation, opening on Sept. 1, will feature 16 A-frame cabins in West Asheville, what really stands out is how it will merge the urban and outdoor worlds of North Carolina. “The core mission of Wrong Way is to connect guests with the transformational qualities of the outdoors through comfortable accommodations, convenient access, inspiring experiences, and a little local culture,” a spokesperson from the lodge explained in a release shared with Travel + Leisure....
The Trans Bhutan Trail reopened for the first time since the 1960s. Following two years of extensive restoration, the Kingdom of Bhutan reopened the 250-mile historic trail. G Adventures, the community-focused tour operator, was selected by the Bhutan Canada Foundation, the nonprofit that led the restoration, as the first group adventure operator to gain access. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is furthering its efforts to become more gender inclusive by offering a new gender option on applications for its PreCheck program. The agency, which announced its intentions to update the applications earlier this year, will now allow travelers applying for the program to select “another gender” in addition to “male” and “female” options. The agency said it has allowed applicants to self-attest to their gender since April, regardless of the sex assigned to them at birth....
