A pair of museums in Tennessee were added to the U.S. Civil Rights Trail this week, in time for the start of Black History Month in 2022. The National Museum of African American Music, in Nashville, and The Stax Museum of American Soul Music, in Memphis, were added to the trail, the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development announced on February 1st, 2022. “What happened in Tennessee changed the world and through the power of music of the movement [and] visitors can learn about that legacy at world-class destinations like Stax and NMAAM,” Mark Ezell, the commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development said in a statement....
