For a family trip (that consisted of 21 travelers) to celebrate the matriarch’s birthday, Fricker arranged stays at the One&Only Cape Town, followed by nights in Johannesburg (The Saxon Hotel, Villas & Spa), and then capped off with the safari finale at Singita Pamushana with a lodge take-over.
“There were extensive logistics for this trip, given the number of travelers, the different regionalities and travel plans for each family, the ages, various dietary requirements, and the private services required throughout (such as private transfers),” she says. Fricker managed it effortlessly, even when a family member suffered dehydration and another fell ill.
“We coordinated medical support for both and the trip continued,” Fricker says. “The fun factor was enormous and the ‘devil is in the details’ was critical on this trip.”
